What is CPD&PI? PSA’s CPD&PI program recognises that patient outcomes are affected by both the professional capability of the pharmacist (CPD component) as well as the quality of the pharmacy service system (PI component). The program presents opportunities for pharmacists to address both of these aspects, related to their individual professional role. What is CPD? What is PI?
The program encourages learning activities that will address specific individual learning needs. This helps to make the most of the limited time that pharmacists have available to participate in the program. The program also helps pharmacists to meet State Pharmacy Board re-accreditation requirements. Ultimately, pharmacists have a fundamental ethical requirement to maintain competence throughout their career. Participation demonstrates their commitment to enhance their skills and the profession.
