Case scenario

Cara has noted an increase in consumers in her pharmacy who have been requesting sleep apnoea supplies and decides to look into providing a range of sleep apnoea products to match this demand. Rather than relying on guesswork, Cara researches the key requirements for the effective treatment of sleep apnoea and selects a range of products that will meet these requirements and also meet Australian standards for quality, such as registration with the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Cara undertakes training in the use of these products to ensure she can advise consumers correctly on their use and provide reliable advice to clients who require assistance in selecting sleep apnoea devices, such as replacement masks.
