The recipients of PSA’s 2021 Excellence Awards may represent different generations, locations and areas of pharmacy practice, but they have one thing in common: a desire to provide the best possible care to the community.

In many rural and remote communities, the pharmacy is often the first stop for any health care question – whether medicine-related or not.

At PSA22, new guidelines were launched to help pharmacists support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with Medicines Management. 

The PSA25 social calendar is always jam packed. And this year, at the biggest national conference yet, certainly didn’t disappoint.

From 1493 onwards, everyone who was anyone caught syphilis. Ivan the Terrible, Henry VIII, Friedrich Nietzsche, Gauguin, Keats, Oscar Wilde, Beethoven, Manet and Al Capone all allegedly picked up the disease. Given that the ‘Great Pox’ was a known venereal disorder, it is no surprise Casanova also made the ever-growing list.
